Easy Authentic Lasagna

Ingredients
12 lasagna noodles
1 lb ground beef (or half beef, half Italian sausage)
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
2 cups ricotta cheese
1 egg
2 cups shredded mozzarella
½ cup grated Parmesan
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
Cook noodles: Boil lasagna noodles until al dente, then drain.
Make the sauce: Heat olive oil in a pan. Cook beef with garlic until browned. Stir in marinara, seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes.
Prepare ricotta mix: In a bowl, combine ricotta, egg, and Parmesan.
Assemble: In a greased baking dish, spread a thin layer of sauce. Layer noodles, ricotta mix, mozzarella, and more sauce. Repeat until ingredients are used, ending with sauce and mozzarella.
Bake: Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake 15–20 more minutes until bubbly and golden.
Serve: Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
