Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 10–12 minutes Total Time: 20–22 minutes Servings: 4
Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), skin-on or skinless
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika (optional for a smoky flavor)
Lemon wedges, for serving
Fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or thyme) for garnish
Instructions
Prepare the salmon: Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Brush both sides with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (if using).
Preheat the grill: Heat your grill to medium-high (around 400°F / 200°C). Oil the grates lightly to prevent sticking.
Grill the salmon: Place salmon skin-side down (if using skin-on) on the grill. Cook for 4–6 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Serve: Transfer salmon to a serving plate. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top and garnish with fresh herbs.
Tips for Perfect Grilled Salmon
Even cooking: Let salmon come to room temperature before grilling.
Flavor boost: Marinate in a mixture of olive oil, lemon, garlic, and herbs for 30 minutes before grilling.
Avoid overcooking: Salmon cooks quickly—watch closely for a moist, flaky texture.
